For the final model I decided to add another level of ramps to the exterior model in attempt to reflect the differing levels of meaning in and interconnectedness in science.
The above screenshot shows the ascent up the ramps into the interior studio, that is the one designed for Jacques Cousteau. My quote for this space was about descending below the surface of the ocean where man can become free. Rather than having a descent I decided upon a process of ascending up the ramps to the upper studio where one can then descend again into the 2nd level of the studio. Also I was attempting to mimic the idea of light rays in water by having the sunlight filter through the slit windows and hit the back wall, which can be seen in the top left of the above screenshot.
I also adjusted the lighting levels significantly (most notably the colour and level of the sun) to create more of a contrast between the exterior of the outside studio and the and the cool, white, clinical feel of the interior spaces.
