36 Custom Textures

Getting a bit closer to the the finished product. These are two sections through my Jumble/Golden developed sketchup model. As you can see, I have completely redesigned my below ground level after a consultation with the tutor. I have gone for a much simpler shape down below that better represents the concept of 'golden' i.e a radiation and projection all around. To this end I have placed the spiral staircase in the exact center of the room to give the effect of the walls receding away from the user when they descend the staircase.

Spiral Staircase - Paris

This is a photo I took looking up the underside of a stone spiral staircase in Paris. I chose it for my beautiful original photograph because of the simplicity of the black spiraling bannister (simplicity itself being beautiful) winding it's way through the photo.

Creative work from High School

This is picture a still image from my best piece of creative work at High School. The film it came from was my English Ext 2 Major Work. The film is about a young teen transitioning into a man who spends his time thinking about an imaginary "perfect" woman who turns out to exist in real life.

My Great Piece of Architecture

This is the photo I picked for my "great" piece of architecture. The building is The Pinnacles interpretive center located in the Pinnacle Desert, WA. The building was designed by Woodhead Architects, Perth. What I find interesting about this building is the way they burnt the exterior pergola during construction to create a scorched effect that "highlights the
relationship between fire, the land and its inhabitants"
